Inclusive Parks and Accessible Things to Do For Summer 2025 (Denver-Area)

In the summer, sometimes we need a little something to do and then sometimes we need to fill up our day if we are headed to a certain location and that can be tough when looking for accessible options or things that are affordable because we never know if our child will like it or not. I’ve added some ideas for things to do in the Denver area but I’ll be adding as I go!

Congress Park – Denver

  • Adaptive swings

*  To extend your day – Cherry Creek Mall or could also visit the Denver Botanic Gardens (free for caregivers)

Carmody Park – Lakewood

  • Adaptive swings, and inclusive everything park including a merry-go-round

LuBirds Playground – Aurora – Stanley Marketplace

  • Inclusive merry-go-round (for wheelchairs)
  • Lots of other inclusive equipment

*To extend your day –  the Marketplace is nice and big so it’s easy to get around for food or treats

Norman D. Memorial Park – Golden

  • Smaller but wanted to note for if you’re ever visiting Golden
  • Adaptive swing and spinning feature/piece of equipment

* To extend your day – Walk Clear Creek or visit the Golden History Park (each has accessible trails). Golden itself has had lots of improvements with their sidewalks so you can walk the town pretty easily too.

Robert F. Clement Park – Littleton

  • Inclusive equipment of all kinds

Island Grove Regional Park – Greeley

  • Adaptive see-saw and adaptive zipline chair (our favorite for sure!!!) and lots of inclusive equipment including adaptive swings. So fun!!

We’ll keep adding as we find more!!!
